Luke 12:20-21
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? {21} So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
[How do you handle the increase? He had not actually built the barns but he made the decision what he was going to do and God judged that decision even before it came to pass or before it was fulfilled.]
2 Corinthians 8:5,9
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God…. {9} For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
2 Corinthians 9:6-10
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. {7} Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. {8} And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: {9} (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. {10} Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
Philippians 4:19

1 Timothy 6:9-10
